Meets on the second Monday of the month at 10:15 am in the meeting room at the Library.
Who Are The Friends?
We are an organization separate from the library. The Friends is a group of people who believe in the importance of the library to the community and that organized support from active and involved citizens contributes to the success of the Library’s programs and services.
Our Mission
- To bring together those people interested in promoting and supporting library services in and around Yorkville.
- To raise funds for library projects, programs, services and the purchase of special equipment.
- To volunteer for assistance with library requests as needed.
- To participate in community activities on behalf of the Yorkville Public Library.
How Can I Become A Friend?
- The Friends welcome New Friends who value the services of their library.
- We encourage all who are willing to volunteer their time and talents to join! A Friend can be active (volunteering time/talents for a project), supporting (dues paying only) or a contributor (donations).
- The Friends of the Library meet the 2nd Monday of each month at 10:15 a.m. Members are welcome, but not required to attend.
- Yearly Membership dues are $12.00 for an individual or $20.00 for a family.
