The meeting room of the Yorkville Public Library is available to support the library’s mission of nurturing a love of reading and lifelong learning, and to provide access to support and resources that will educate, entertain, inspire, inform, and foster a sense of community in all patrons.
Priority for the use of the Michelle Pfister Meeting Room are as follows:
- Library-sponsored meetings/programs.
- Educational, cultural and civic, and public information events of nonprofit organizations, whose membership includes residents of the United City of Yorkville.
- Educational, cultural and civic, and public information events of nonprofit organizations outside of the United City of Yorkville.
Exclusions:
- Private social functions.
- Programs that are not suitable for the Library’s physical facilities.
- For-profit groups soliciting or selling products or services.
- Programs not in keeping with the Library’s goals and objectives which would interfere with the Library’s work by causing excessive noise, safety hazards, security risks, etc.
- Gambling, crafts, games, or other recreational activities.
For-profit groups can rent the room for $75 for the first 3 hours ($25 each additional hour). Fees must be paid prior to use by cash or check only or the reservation will be canceled.
When renting our meeting room, food and non-alcoholic beverages may be served. Please recycle and dispose of waste accordingly. A clean up fee of $25.00 will be included in the rental.
