Your Friend in Health – A Health & Wellness Series

Make Health Your Hobby

Did you know it’s possible to get healthier with age and actually feel younger? Participants will learn the keys to healthy aging in this class, as well as three types of “garbage” that collect in our bodies and how to reduce it. We will also discuss the healthiest way to eat for all ages plus the three magic words for optimal health.

Computer Basics for Seniors

In this twelve part series, the Yorkville Library helps seniors learn the basics of computers. Classes are hands on and limited to just five participants to ensure patrons get the attention they need and have their questions answered. Registration is required.

Healthy Cooking

Learn to cook healthy meals with our Certified Holistic Health Coach, Jess. Once a month, Jess will teach us simple cooking techniques with ingredients that fuel our bodies better and get us back on track. Space is limited, so be sure to register.

Chair Yoga

Join us for Chair Yoga at the Yorkville Public Library.  Our Yoga instructor, Jessica Stewart, takes us through simple yoga routines that will help reduce stress, improve flexibility, increase strength, and help with focus and mindfulness.  Sessions are 45 minutes long.  Please register for the class.  If you need help registering, please call the library.   See exact dates on our Health & Wellness page.
